Job description

UCHealth is looking to add 2 additional Locums to their Neuroendovascular team!

Provider must be able to do Open Cerebrovascular and Neuroendovascular coverage.

Open Dates:

• August 4 (7a) - August 8 (7a)
• August 15 (7a) - August 21 (7a)
• All of October - December is open
• Ongoing coverage will be 10-11 days per month

Details:

• Provider MUST be available to cover the open August dates above.
• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7AM - 7AM)
• Facility is preferably looking for a Neurosurgeon with endovascular capabilities.
• Provider must be able to do thrombectomies and clippings to avoid patient transfers.
• Heavy surgical emphasis.
• Will not accept a Neuro interventional radiologist.
• Provider must be Board Certified in Neurological Surgery.
• 100% adult patient population.
• 50% trauma cases.
• 100% inpatient care.
• 0-5 hospital-based patients per day.
• Support Staff: Dedicated CNS for the practice Monday-Friday daytime. General Neurosurgery APPs available at night for staff questions. New consults handled by a call neuroendovascular surgeon.
• Surgery volume varies; most procedures are performed in the interventional/cath lab. Provider must be comfortable with open endovascular procedures.
• EMR: Epic.
• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days.
• Travel expenses paid.
• See PD for required procedures.

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified in Neurological Surgery (ABNS, NES).
• Active CO license or IMLC.
• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO COVER THE OPEN DATES LISTED.
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), DEA.
• Ability to perform thrombectomies and clippings.
• Clean background, no malpractice issues.
• Provider must be aware and comfortable with a heavy surgical emphasis.
• COVID vaccinated.
