Job description

Locum - Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Join a dynamic healthcare facility in beautiful Boise, Idaho, where we are seeking a dedicated Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide occasional weekend call and cover PTO for our esteemed team. Our facility features a dedicated CT surgery OR and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including the Epic EMR system. You will have the support of four Physician Assistants who will rotate to assist in the operating room, catering to an adult and geriatric patient population.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform adult cardiac surgery and general thoracic surgery.
2. Conduct aortic dissection, CABG, and tube thoracostomy procedures.
3. Perform pericardial window and thoracotomy lung resections.
4. Handle heart valve repair/replacement surgeries and dissections.
5. Place VA and VV ECMO as necessary.
6. Respond to occasional weekend call and PTO coverage.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency and CT fellowship program.
• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Active Idaho medical license or active IMLC (LOQ required for IMLC).
• Current ACLS and DEA certifications.
• Clean background with no malpractice history.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Idaho license or IMLC recognition.
• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Current ACLS certification.
• DEA registration.
