Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) in Knoxville, TN seeks a Certified Coder (Surgery) for a part-time, on-site role. The coder will focus on ASC and orthopaedic coding, ensuring accurate documentation and coding for professional services and audits.

Qualifications

• Must have ASC Surgery Coding Experience.
• Orthopaedic coding experience is preferred.
• Must be CPC or CCS-P certified.
• Must reside in the Knoxville area.
• Minimum of 1 year experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
• Ensure charges are coded in alignment with documentation and coding policies.
• Review and abstract patient records to assign diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
• Code services documented in medical records with appropriate codes.
• Enter codes into practice management system and rectify errors in editing systems.
• Educate providers on audit results while maintaining professionalism.
• Stay updated on CPT-4, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payer requirements.
