Job summary

Putnam County Hospital - Greencastle, IN is seeking a Surgery Department leader to oversee daily operations, scheduling, and staff performance. This exempt, full-time role reports to the VP of Clinical Operations and manages the OR and related budgets.

Responsibilities include OR scheduling, call schedules, staff oversight, quality measures, budgeting, capital purchases, and coordination with sales reps. Bachelor's degree required; RN license and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Driver's license required.
• Age 18+.

Responsibilities

• OR schedule management and daily operations supervision.
• Call schedule creation and maintenance.
• Staffing as needed and supervision.
• Quality measures and process improvement oversight.
• Attendance at meetings; prepare agendas/minutes for Surgery.
• Develop and monitor yearly department budget.
• Oversee capital purchases and equipment needs.
• Staff development and performance coaching.
• Collaborate with sales reps as needed.
• Perform other duties and supervisory actions as assigned.
