Job description

Description:

  • Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist who specializes in non-invasive cardiology (with an interest in heart failure and/or advanced cardiology as a preference but not a prerequisite).
  • Interested candidates will join a large collegial group at a tertiary care center which has no overnight call responsibilities, great APP support, and a clinical pod structure that allows physicians to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Part or full-time engagement available based on individual needs.
  • Ramped-up yearly time-off starting at 40 days of PTO in year 3.
  • No overnight call.
  • Pod-based clinic structure with a dedicated support team for all clinical workflows (e.g., inbox management, surgical clearances, Peer-to-Peer, refill management, medical records, etc.).
  • EPIC-based system for both inpatient and outpatient documentation.
  • Call participation adjusted based on employment duration (e.g., half of the call obligations for 0.5 FTE vs. 1.0 FTE).
  • Flexible clinic schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Average outpatient volume: 11 - 22 patients per day, depending on the clinic schedule.
  • Weekend/Holiday Call: 1:5.
  • Short call: once per month, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Integration of APPs into the call structure is underway, leading to fewer physician-based call responsibilities.
  • Tailor-made approach for inpatient vs. outpatient responsibilities.
  • State-of-the-art labs: Phillips systems with Flex vision screens, updated software including Clarity, and nine data out ports for TEE/CCTA images.
  • Advanced cardiac imaging: CT (including CT-FFR), MRI (stress and 4D flow), and vascular imaging.
  • Access to a cutting-edge structural heart program.
  • Minimal travel to outreach locations.
  • Robust clinical research program with over 50 active clinical trials, including investigator-initiated studies.

Compensation:

  • Generous start-up and retention bonuses; relocation allowance.
  • Paid malpractice insurance.
  • 27 days of Allowed Time Off plus five paid days for CME with an annual stipend.

  • Retirement options: 403(b), 457(b), 401(a).
  • Short- and long-term own occupation disability insurance.
  • Customized marketing support.
  • Leadership development opportunities through board and committee participation.
