Assists with patient positioning and prep in a manner that demonstrates knowledge and ensures patient safety, skin integrity and sterile technique. Assists the surgical team utilizing knowledge of sterile technique to hold retractors and cameras as directed by the surgeon. Performs environmental activities to maintain a clean and orderly surgical suite. Identifies correct patient to verify specific information utilizing strong interpersonal skills and abilities. Ensures supplies are stocked and sterile. Assists with maintaining a sterile environment.Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers.
