Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. in Tulsa, OK is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist for the day shift. Under RN supervision, you will maintain a sterile field, prepare and pass instruments, and support efficient case turnover during surgeries.

Required are ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited training, NBSTSA or NCCT certification, and CPR. 0–2 years of related experience is noted; strong aseptic technique is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by ABHES/CAAHEP or by the State.
• Certification through NBSTSA or NCCT is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains sterile field and anticipates instrumentation for surgery.
• Facilitates patient flow through case turnover.
• Maintains asepsis by performing environmental duties in the operating room.
• Anticipates needs in instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies per procedure.
• Maintains accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts with RN and reports discrepancies.
• Performs high level disinfection and develops competency across specialties.
• Serves as a preceptor and demonstrates cross-specialty competencies.
• Updates surgeon preference cards to keep them current.

CPR certification.Work Experience: 0-2 years of related experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of aseptic technique. Ability to prepare and maintain a sterile field.
