  • Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 7-3
  • Shift: 1 - Day Shift, 10 Hours (United States of America)
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Cost Center: 25080 - 2110 Operating Room

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare instruments, supplies, and sutures using aseptic principles.
  2. Assist in patient positioning and provide instrumentation during procedures.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and inventory of Operating Rooms.
  4. Assemble and check functionality of instruments and equipment.
  5. Review physician preference lists for accuracy.
  6. Ensure electrical safety and proper handling of pathology specimens and medications.
  7. Transport patients and support new staff and students.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required: BLS Certification, Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program
  • Preferred: Surgical Technologist certification
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in hospital-based surgical services
  • Skills: Well-organized, high manual dexterity, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Demands and Environment
  • Indoor work with precise hearing and vision required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and manual tasks.
  • Occasional sitting, twisting, and working at heights or under high stress.
