Ascension Health in Mequon, WI is seeking an OR Surgical Support Technician (PRN) to assist in the Surgery department. You will prepare the operating suite and anticipate the surgeon’s needs to ensure a fluid, safe procedure.
Role emphasizes patient safety, instrument tracking, and teamwork during critical steps like hemostasis and wound closure. Prior OR experience is desirable; BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Prepare the operating suite by meticulously organizing sterile and non-sterile instruments, ensuring a seamless and efficient start for every surgical procedure.
Support surgical precision by anticipating the surgeon’s needs and providing required instrumentation, directly enabling a fluid and successful procedural flow.
Ensure patient safety and dignity by skillfully assisting with transport, positioning, and sterile draping to create a secure, comfortable environment.
Uphold rigorous safety standards by tracking instrument counts throughout the case, actively preventing complications and maintaining complete surgical integrity.
Collaborate with the surgical team during critical procedural phases, such as assisting with hemostasis and wound closure, to contribute to positive patient outcomes.
