Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Formulation Chemist in Houston, TX to join a Chemical Technology client’s R&D team. The role focuses on surfactant development, optimization, and performance for completions operations in Oil and Gas, with potential emphasis on frac chemistries, IOR, and EOR.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in surfactant chemistry and at least 3 years of relevant experience, plus a degree in Chemistry.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience formulating within surfactants.
• Experience with improving EOR/IOR.
• Strong lab environment experience.
• Solid understanding of surfactant chemistry in completions operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applied research on surfactants for completions/ frac chemistries, evaluating properties and interactions.
• Develop analytical methods and workflows to support R&D projects.
• Analyze lab and field data to optimize products and reservoir performance.
• Participate in product development through material review, formulation optimization, and cost considerations.
• Prepare reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
