Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a certified welding training program or apprenticeship is required.
• Experience in surface welding or related welding discipline is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with welding safety standards and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface welding tasks using TIG, MIG, and stick welding to repair or enhance metal components.
• Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications to ensure accurate weld placement.
• Inspect welded surfaces for defects and perform adjustments or repairs to meet quality standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in safe, working condition before and after use.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality control to troubleshoot welding issues and improve processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Document welding activities, materials used, weld parameters, and inspection results for QA.
