AECOM is seeking a Project Management Director (Surface Water) to lead the Surface Water practice in Sacramento, California. You will set technical vision, drive project execution, and build executive client relationships across significant surface water infrastructure programs.

This senior role emphasizes strategic growth, operational leadership with P&L accountability, and cross-office collaboration to expand AECOM’s Pacific West surface water capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic business development initiatives, including executive client engagement and proposal governance.
• Provide executive oversight of resource planning and workload management across multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor and develop senior and emerging leaders, promoting collaboration and technical excellence.
• Direct engineering analysis, design, and delivery strategies for major surface water programs (dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels).
• Oversee preparation and quality assurance of technical reports, design memoranda, and construction documentation.
