Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Water Resources Engineer based in Portland or Seattle to lead high-quality project delivery and grow our Pacific Northwest water resources practice. This senior role partners with regional teams to enhance client management, pursue opportunities, and mentor staff.

The candidate will focus on stream restoration, floodplain management, and coastal resiliency while leveraging AECOM’s global resources to expand regional presence and project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer in Oregon and/or Washington (or ability to obtain PE within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality project delivery and support growth of the Pacific Northwest water resources practice.
• Identify new business opportunities and participate in client presentations to promote AECOM’s capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to staff and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
