Job summary

RTX is seeking an onsite technician in Clayville, NY with a strong mechanical aptitude and reliable attendance. You will operate PIVs, manage hoisting tasks, and work in an environmentally controlled area, following detailed work instructions.

The role requires flexibility to work a 7:00am–7:00pm Friday–Sunday schedule and to wear a respirator when required. Medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, PTO, 401(k) with match, and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US).
• Must have a strong attendance record.
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to work hours outside of the regular shift.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Process super alloy within the confines of an environmentally controlled, isolated area to the specifications of written work instructions overseen by S3 or above.
• Basic hoist and rigging operations
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs)
• Operate machines in the main room to work instruction standards (eg. Scalper, classifier, High Sifter)
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble main room machines and containers to QC standard (eg. Scalper, classifier, high sifter, tote bins, storage bins, revert bins, clayville cans)
• Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment
• Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.

The position will work a schedule of Friday - Sunday (3x12) 7:00am - 7:00pm (Weekend/Days/4th shift).

The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

The hourly rate for this role is $21.00 per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
