Job Title: Engineer II

Department: Engineering

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm

Facility location: Charlestown, NH

Summary

Plans and designs manufacturing processes for a production facility.

Details:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for small projects or multiple tasks within the functional discipline.
• Contributes significantly to the team by applying knowledge of the discipline.
• Works with moderate guidance on projects with a short-term focus.
• Has a solid understanding of fundamental principles and is developing specialized knowledge.
• Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
• Confirms system and product capabilities through designing feasibility and testing methods.
• Develops products by studying customer requirements, researching manufacturing and assembly methods, and testing materials.
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment.
• Provides training and support on manufacturing systems, including electronic production processes like SMT, wave soldering, and circuit board assembly.

Scope:

• Requires knowledge and experience in the discipline; acquiring higher-level skills.
• Builds knowledge of organization, processes, and customers.
• Solves straightforward problems using standard procedures.
• Receives moderate guidance and direction.

Education & Expertise:

BA/BS degree with 2–4+ years’ experience or MA/MS degree with 0–2+ years’ experience.

Physical Demands and Abilities:

• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Stand for entire shift.
• Have specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Communicate effectively in English.
