Plans and designs manufacturing processes for a production facility.
Details:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for small projects or multiple tasks within the functional discipline.
- Contributes significantly to the team by applying knowledge of the discipline.
- Works with moderate guidance on projects with a short-term focus.
- Has a solid understanding of fundamental principles and is developing specialized knowledge.
- Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Confirms system and product capabilities through designing feasibility and testing methods.
- Develops products by studying customer requirements, researching manufacturing and assembly methods, and testing materials.
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment.
- Provides training and support on manufacturing systems, including electronic production processes like SMT, wave soldering, and circuit board assembly.
Scope:
- Requires knowledge and experience in the discipline; acquiring higher-level skills.
- Builds knowledge of organization, processes, and customers.
- Solves straightforward problems using standard procedures.
- Receives moderate guidance and direction.
Education & Expertise:
BA/BS degree with 2–4+ years’ experience or MA/MS degree with 0–2+ years’ experience.
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Perform repetitive tasks.
- Stand for entire shift.
- Have specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Communicate effectively in English.
