Job summary

Candidates must demonstrate experience disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicle parts, interpreting repair manuals and schematics, and ensuring safety during maintenance of Army National Guard equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine mechanical maintenance and ability to use common tools.
• Ability to read repair manuals, diagrams and understand mechanical systems.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic principles as applied to vehicles.
• Experience reading and interpreting parts lists and repair manuals.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to perform mechanical repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Remove, adjust, replace, clean and install parts and components.
• Understand and apply mechanical, electrical and hydraulic theory for vehicle maintenance.
• Read and interpret parts lists, manuals, diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Maintain and document maintenance tasks in accordance with ND National Guard procedures.
