Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling complex combat/mobility equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot multi-system vehicles and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnoses difficult problems using diagnostic equipment and OEM system analyzers.
• Disassembles and repairs engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Provides guidance to lower-grade mechanics and may lead a small team in field or unit locations.
• Inspects readiness and repair status of equipment prior to and during operation.
