Job summary

Fisher Barton seeks a Surface Engineering Technician 1 for the 2nd shift in Watertown, WI. You will operate, set up, program, and troubleshoot machines to ensure coating processes run smoothly and products meet quality standards.

Join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role requires reading setup sheets, basic part drawings, and collaborating with engineers and leads to maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read, write, and communicate English effectively.
• Adept with basic mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and quality procedures and code of ethics.
• Transfer high quality engineered coatings onto parts.
• Rotate through multiple process steps in at least one process area (washing, masking, grit blasting, spraying/cladding, etc.).
• Operate, setup and troubleshoot equipment by following work instructions and procedures.
• Log time, tasks, and inspection results using a computer.
• Read setup sheets and basic part drawings; understand statistical process trends.
