Fisher Barton is hiring a Surface Engineering Technician 1 for the Watertown, WI area. You will operate, setup, program, and troubleshoot machines in a fast-paced production cell, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and quality standards are met.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and adherence to safety and ISO 9000 requirements. The position includes rotating through process steps such as washing, grit blasting, spraying/cladding, heat treating, and inspection, with a 3rd shift schedule

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or 1 year work experience
• Able to read, write, and communicate English effectively
• Adept with basic mathematics

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and ethics
• Transfer high quality engineered coatings onto parts
• Operate, setup and troubleshoot equipment following work instructions and documentation
• Log time, task completion, and inspection results using a computer
• Read setup sheets and basic part drawings and understand process trends
• Maintain Quality and Process documentation and 5S in the area
