Overview

The Account Coordinator assists the Account Executive or Account Representative with servicing, invoicing, and general administrative duties by processing work associated with the contract surety or commercial surety unit. The Surety Account Coordinator will take direction from the Account Executive with respect to issuance and renewal of bonds, bid results and/or payment follow-up, producer financial filing duties, and other duties/special projects as requested.

What You'll Do

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

  • Prepares and executes bonds and other documents for delivery to clients.
  • Follows workflow with regards to commercial bond execution, renewals, cancellations, and riders.
  • Ability to take direction from an AE/AM and execute the requested work in an efficient manner and reviews work for accuracy.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced setting, and able to adjust to changing demands as needed.
  • Be able to review bid specifications along with requests from clients to execute bid bonds accurately and with no mistakes.
  • Gain an understanding of the elements of a financial file to be able to look at documents and e-file them properly within the clients financial file per established guidelines.
  • Gain an understanding of contract surety including bid, performance, payment bond, consents of surety and bid letters.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel is expected to be negligible in this role.

What You'll Need
  • Advanced degree from college or technical school; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Tech savvy; ability to learn multiple systems
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
