Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor for our Rio Vista area location. You will maintain inventory by receiving, storing, and delivering items, and coordinate parts runs between locations while supervising warehouse staff.

The role requires knowledge of MRP systems, 3 years of supervision, and 5 years of warehouse/logistics experience. On-site, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. We offer strong benefits and a safety-first culture.

  • Administrative Duties
  • Create and maintain work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow and materials between locations.
  • Ensure shipments comply with local, state and federal regulations as outlined by the shipping coordinator.
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines to align with KPI’s.
  • Supervise warehouse, shipping, receiving and logistics staff and manage productivity/quality.
  • Support daily cycle counting requirements.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, shipments and distribution.
  • Promote 5S and safe work practices; participate in Kaizen events.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory process flow.
  • Drive 5S culture throughout warehouse.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is adiverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact.As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. Responsible for securingwarehouseand supervising warehouse, shipping, receiving and logistics employees at the Rio Vista location, including coordination of parts runs between the Rio and Mercy locations and parts distribution to all other satellite locations.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

  • Administrative Duties
  • Create and maintain work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow and materials between locations.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with local, state and federal regulations as outlined by the shipping coordinator.
  • Setting goals for performance and deadlines to align with the company’s KPI’s.
  • Supervisor all warehouse, shipping, receiving and logistics employees managing productivity and quality of work.
  • Support daily cycle counting requirement.
  • Warehouse Operations and Management:
  • Ensure best shipping practices and standard procedures are being followed.
  • Work closely with Production Control daily to ensure production schedule requirement are being met / supported.
  • Audit / track daily status of all kit pulls, distribution orders, validated orders not shipped and inbound receiving exceptions.
  • Enforce and promote a safe work environment through monthly trainings, inspections and mentoring of employees.
  • Maintain 5S compliance throughout warehouse.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory process flow
  • Drive 5S culture throughout warehouse
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience
  • Knowledge of MRP systems, production control and inventory control
  • 3 years previous supervisory experience
  • 5 years warehouse / shipping / logistics experience
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree preference in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing warehouse management systems (WMS), including RF scanning technologies and processes
  • Lean manufacturing experience, including 5S
  • Proven experience with shipping / UPS / Fed EX / DHL / LTL freight
Education & Certifications
  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Monday through Friday,on-site
