Job Summary:
Collaborates with management in the planning, direction, coordination, and management of the daily and administrative operations within the scope of nursing service administration. Participates in developing and implementing policies and procedures necessary to achieve departmental short- and long-range goals and objectives.

Supervises employees to include work allocation, training, scheduling, evaluation, and problem resolution while on duty. Acts as the leadership representative for the organization in the absence of department managers and directors. Collaborates and partners with organizational leaders as an extension of the leadership and administrative teams. Promotes and participates in education, research, and performance improvement activities.
