Job summary

Ultipro in USA Texas is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team, coordinating electrical, mechanical and process tasks to keep the plant running efficiently.

The role requires 7+ years in maintenance and at least 2 years in leadership, with strong PLC and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting skills and experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a maintenance team with electrical, mechanical and process knowledge.
• Set priorities to minimize downtime and manage workorders and metrics.
• Lead daily PM activities and resolve work orders.
• Coordinate with Production and other groups to complete activities.
• Provide technical assistance for PLC, servo drives, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic issues.
• Manage budgets, schedules and project costs.
• Develop spare parts procedures and asset control.
• Implement ISO procedures and continuous improvement strategies.
• Lead training for maintenance and production teams and develop preventive/predictive programs.

Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance team through coordination of resources and activities for all maintenance functions in the plant and will provide the technical link between maintenance functions and production needs. Ensures department’s performance is meeting Company goals and objectives including safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals.

Position Responsibilities may include;

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians with electrical, mechanical and process knowledge while ensuring they are complying with all safety protocols, company policies and work procedures.
• Set priorities on maintenance activities to assure continuing plant operations with minimum downtime while maintaining responsibility for Key Maintenance Measures (overtime, downtime, callouts, workorder management) in assigned business unit.
• Lead daily PM activities and work orders resolution.
• Assign daily tasks to skilled trades workforce associated with improving, down time, safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Technical and other Maintenance groups to ensure accurate and efficient completion of maintenance activities.
• Provide technical assistance to skilled trades personnel in troubleshooting PLC, servo drives, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic concerns.
• Budget, direct, manage and control all projects ensuring all schedules and budgets are met.
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure spare parts availability and control of assets is maintained.
• Responsible for procedure implementation for ISO systems.
• Evaluate and develop improvement strategies for existing systems to improve reliability.
• Lead Training sessions for both maintenance team and production team members.
• Develop and implement both preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Control the ongoing repair and period maintenance budgets in line with the fiscal plan. Implement cost reductions to offset negative or unplanned variance to the fiscal plan.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive experience in troubleshooting of PLC based control systems using Allen Bradley and Siemens software
• Understanding servo drives and motors and control systems is desired
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic systems and troubleshooting the same
• Knowledge of TPM practices and processes
• Highly effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required
• Working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and database applications
• Effective organizational and time management skills required
• Excellent leadership skills; able to envision, develop, direct, manage, delegate responsibility and authority and drive employee engagement
• Strong team player, results orientated, dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives
• Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to apply good judgement, decision making skills, strong work ethics and integrity on the job

Experience:

• 7+ years of maintenance experience preferably within a high volume manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of leadership experience required

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• College Degree –Preferred
• Vocational training/certifications-license required

Physical Requirements / Working Environment:

• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Large manufacturing environment requiring use of PPE. Must be flexible with work hours to expand outside of normal schedule as needed.
