Job Summary: TheSuppressionSystems Selleris responsible forselling firesuppressionsystemproducts and solutions in the commercial and industrial markets, while also understanding customer needs to provide tailored fire protection recommendations. This role is accountable for developing market awareness of fire protection systems,prospecting formajor sales opportunities, and building a strong customer base
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate sales of firesuppressionsystems, includingsprinkler, foam, and clean agent systems, for commercial and industrial markets.
- Develop market awareness ofvariousfiresuppressiontechnologies and systems,prospecting formajorprojectsand developing a strong customer basein the fire protection sector.
- Stay informed and up to date on Hillersuppressionproducts, systems, andemerging fire protectiontechnologies.
- Conduct market research toidentifypotential customers and analyze industry trends regardingNFPA codechanges, advancementsin suppression agents, and emergingfire risks.
- Generateleads togrowcustomer base by actively prospecting and networkingwith facility managers, building owners, and fire protection engineers.
- Provide technicalexpertise& guidance to customers on firesuppressionsystem types, NFPA codes, and local fire protection standards.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend the most suitablesuppression solutions based on hazard analysis.
- Prepare and deliverpresentations and demonstrations on various suppression systems, including wet and dry pipe sprinklers, foamsystemsand clean agent systems.
- Collaborate withfire protection engineers to create customized suppression solutions for complex hazards or unique building layouts
- Prepare andsubmitdetailedsuppressionsystem proposals, including system specifications, pricing, and contractual terms, negotiating with customers to secure projects.
- Submit regular sales reports and forecastsfor suppression systemsproject tomanagement.
- Achievesales targetsfor various suppression system types, fulfil revenue quotas, and contribute to the growth of Hiller’s fire suppression division.
- Provide exceptional technical customer service, addressing concerns aboutsuppressionsystem performance, maintenance, or code compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED isrequired; however, aBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
- NICET and/or OEM certification preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience selling FireSuppressionSystems, withconsistentand proven pattern of sales success in the target market. Closely related industry experience will be considered.
- Candidates mustpossessstrong communicationand customer relationship skills and havebasicability to design and provide cost estimates for fire protection systems.
- Proven knowledge of fire protection market, its major customers/users, major competitors, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and provideappropriate solutions, including basic design and estimates of fire protection systems
- Proventrack recordof direct sales with marketing, strong prospecting, selling, negotiation and sales closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and goal driven.
- Able to travel to customer sites and attend industry events.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Must be able to perform some repetitive motions while using a computer
