Trust for Public Land in Tallahassee is seeking a Jr. Legal Assistant - Real Property Specialist to provide legal and program support to attorneys and staff, helping to complete transactions in line with the organization’s mission.

Primary duties include preparing and tracking agreements, reviewing due diligence and tax documents, and maintaining legal files. A related degree and strong organizational skills are valued in a collaborative office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0-2 years experience in real estate, land conservation, or related fields.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Acrobat and email software.
• Experience with AIA agreements is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate preparation, review, execution and tracking of agreements supporting park creation, land protection and related projects.
• Collect and review insurance, licensing, warranty and compliance documentation.
• Manage project documentation, reporting requirements and data collection.
• Assist with bid packages, contractor selection, design/contracts and donation agreements.
• Review title documents, surveys and environmental assessments.
• Summarize legal documents and track project status.
• Maintain relationships with internal teams, agencies, consultants and partners.
• Support efficient document management and information sharing processes.
• Process and file complex legal documents and maintain files.
• Track real estate taxes and file exemption applications when appropriate.
• Work as part of a team with attorneys and legal assistants.
