Job summary

ACMH INC is seeking a Program Specialist for the Manhattan Supportive Apartment (MSA) program. You will provide direct services to residents, assist with training in daily living skills, and work with the Program Director to support clients in a safe, supportive housing setting in Manhattan.

The role requires a high school diploma with some psychology coursework or significant experience in human services, plus strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with psychology coursework or substantial experience in human services.
• Experience with adults with serious mental illness preferred.
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches skills for daily living including budgeting, shopping, meal planning, and housekeeping.
• Monitors apartment maintenance and reports issues to supervisor.
• Trains clients in self-preservation, safety, and medication self-administration according to policy.
• Documents services and client progress; escorts clients when needed.
• Attends trainings and performs duties as assigned.
