Job summary

Jewish Community Services (JCS) is seeking a compassionate and motivated part-time Supported Employment Specialist to provide individualized employment supports to adults and transition-age youth with disabilities. This is a community-based, hybrid position combining direct client support, employer engagement, job coaching, and service coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Education, or related field preferred.
• Experience with developmental disabilities, behavioral health conditions, or other disabilities preferred.
• Experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, workforce development, case management, or community-based services strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of person-centered planning, job development, job coaching, and employment support services.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and electronic documentation systems
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
• Ability to travel throughout Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of individuals receiving supported employment services
• Assist clients with career exploration, vocational assessment, and employment goal development
• Provide job readiness training, including resume development, applications, interviewing, workplace communication, and professional skills
• Conduct job development and employer outreach to identify competitive integrated employment opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with employers and community partners
• Support clients through the hiring, onboarding, and job retention process
• Provide individualized job coaching at community employment sites
• Assist with workplace accommodations, natural support development, and job stabilization strategies
• Attend PCP, DORS, treatment team, and service coordination meetings as needed
• Coordinate services with families, employers, service providers, counselors, and community partners
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, service notes, billing records, and employment outcome data
• Ensure services are delivered in accordance with DDA, DORS, BHA, Medicaid, and JCS requirements

This position helps individuals explore careers, secure competitive employment, develop workplace skills, and maintain long-term employment success. This is a community-based, hybrid position that combines direct client support, employer engagement, job coaching, and service coordination. Schedule: Flexible schedule; 20 hours/week

Hourly Rate: $24.00-$26.00/hour
