Job summary

The Rock Creek Foundation in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Supported Employment Contract Manager to empower individuals with disabilities through evaluation, training, and ongoing support, while ensuring contract oversight and high-quality service delivery.

The role focuses on matching clients to opportunities, maintaining contract compliance, and coordinating with agencies to advance rehabilitation outcomes and organizational success.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Proof of car insurance.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with adults diagnosed with varying intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team; must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work with high-risk consumers who have mental illnesses as well as developmental or intellectual disabilities as well as physical.
  • We expect all staff to have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service and uphold ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Interview and evaluate disabled applicants and confer with medical and professional personnel to determine type and degree of disability, eligibility for service, and feasibility of vocational rehabilitation.
  • Accept or recommend acceptance of suitable candidates.
  • Determine suitable job or business consistent with applicant's desires, aptitudes, and physical, mental, and emotional limitations.
  • Plan and arrange for applicant to study or train for job.
  • Organize and conduct support group and vocational groups as needed.
  • Endeavour to place individual in gainful employment after acquisition of marketable skills.
  • Observe worker to ensure that work is performed according to prescribed methods and meets established standards.
  • Maintain working relationships with staff of other agencies and institutions, homes, facilities, and act as liaison between clients and agency/institution.
  • Act as liaison between clients and their supervisor and co-workers.
  • Help clients understand mental illness and how it affects their health, lifestyles, and employment.
  • Assist applicant with personal adjustment throughout rehabilitation program.
  • Check work email at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Responsible for the satisfaction of all contract services and ensure that all terms of the contract are completed.
  • Attend mandatory bi-weekly supervision appointments with supervisor to discuss contract schedules and targeted tasks for each working contract day.
  • In charge of the function and staffing of all contract crews as well as securing new contracts from Montgomery County.
  • Provide training to all contract employees as needed.
  • Use all contract equipment and contract materials appropriately.
  • Participate in and successfully complete all required trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Attend mandatory bi-weekly supervision appointments with supervisor to discuss contract schedules and targeted tasks for each working contract day.
  • In charge of the function and staffing of all contract crews as well as securing new contracts from Montgomery County.
  • Provide training to all contract employees as needed.
