Job description

The AICS Group specializes in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to clients with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, complex behaviour, live-in support, and social and personal needs.



The AICS Group is looking for a Support Worker to work with our client located in NN1. This role offers immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working alongside a range of health and social care professionals.



ABOUT THE ROLE


Client: Our young female client has acquired a brain injury and requires a Support Worker to assist with her rehabilitation goals.



Hours required: The shift pattern for our client is as follows:



  • Morning shifts, e.g., 06:30–08:30, Monday to Friday.

  • Afternoon and evening shifts, e.g., 16:00–19:00 or 16:00–21:30, Monday to Friday, with Thursdays 14:30–21:30.

  • Alternating Saturday shifts, e.g., 10:00–16:00 or 10:00–21:30 depending on planned activities.


PERSON SPECIFICATION


Essential Skills:


  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in health and social care
  • Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work in the client’s home

  • Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals daily
  • Ability to take a person-centred approach
  • Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling
  • Willingness to learn and take on feedback
  • Ability to think creatively


Desirable Skills

  • Experience providing care to people living in the community
  • Participation in Support Worker meetings
  • Participation in person-centred training
