Job description

Changing Lives is a nationwide charity helping people facing the most challenging circumstances to make positive change — for good. We believe that everyone deserves a safe home, a rewarding job, and a life free from addiction or abuse. We know that with the right support, anyone can change their life for the better.

Our services across the country assist thousands each year who face a wide range of challenges, including homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, unemployment, involvement with the criminal justice system, sexual exploitation, and domestic abuse. By focusing on individuals' strengths, potential, and opportunities, we support them to overcome their problems and lead safe, successful, independent lives.

Our charity is powered by over 600 passionate colleagues who foster a diverse and inclusive environment for growth. Many team members have lived experience of the challenges faced by those we support. We seek committed and compassionate professionals to join our team, sharing our enthusiasm for changing lives.

About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services

A safe home is the foundation from which to build a better life. We support individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women, and young people.

Accommodation means more than just shelter; it should be a welcoming and nurturing environment that offers opportunities for all to feel comfortable and develop. You can make a difference by supporting people on their journey towards a brighter future. At Changing Lives, we offer a home, not just a shelter.

About the Job

This role involves supporting the development and delivery of dispersed accommodation for young people aged 16-25 experiencing homelessness with additional unmet needs. You will work with individuals accessing Changing Lives to improve their quality of life and deliver excellent services aligned with our mission, values, regulations, guidance, and legislation.

The position requires flexible work across our dispersed services in Middlesbrough. A valid driver's license is essential.

  • 25 days annual leave + 2 wellbeing days + birthday day off + 8 bank holidays – pro-rated for reduced hours
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Death in service benefit (x2 salary)
  • Access to employee benefit platform
  • Employee savings plan
