Female Part-time Support Worker Required Ref: 16427

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and motivated support worker to join a team providing care for a young teenager. The young person lives at home with his family and has his own therapy and lounge area within the house.

The client is wheelchair dependent, utilizes various therapy equipment, communicates non-verbally, and is fed through a gastro tube.

Responsibilities include providing full assistance with personal care, ensuring safety and wellbeing, administering medication, and maintaining daily notes. Previous care experience is essential, but full training and support will be provided.

Additional Details

The client enjoys school during term time, so the support worker will be more at home during school holidays and may need to work extra hours. There may also be opportunities to support the client during family holidays abroad.

Working Hours

30-35 hours per week, working on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, between 7:00 AM and 9:30 PM. Shifts will be arranged with the parents. Extra hours may be required to cover school holidays, sickness, annual leave, and possibly supporting the client on family holidays abroad.

Pay Rate

Weekdays: £15.00 per hour

Bank Holidays: £16.00 per hour

Requirements

Applicants must have their own transport (public transport not suitable) and hold a full driving license to drive the client's vehicle. An enhanced DBS check is required due to the nature of the work.
