Job summary

Geisinger Centralized Logistics & Materials Distribution Center (CLAM) seeks a pharmacy support associate to assist with non-registered pharmacy technician duties and services. You will handle inventory and medications prepared for distribution to patients or facilities, working a standard day shift in the United States.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience preferred, and PA Pharmacy Board registration for technician trainee/technician/intern.

Qualifications

• 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Registered as Pharmacy Technician Trainee, Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern - Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties consistent with the work area.
• Involvement in pharmacy-related shipping, receiving, and logistics.
• Prepares for delivery (pharmacist verified) medications for shipping to patients, representatives or healthcare workers.
• Maintains pharmacy by fulfilling daily operational needs.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines and requirements with patient information.
• Maintains financial, reimbursement, and patient assistance paperwork, where applicable.

Job Summary: The pharmacy support associate role assists with non-registered pharmacy technician duties and services. Responsible for handling inventory and medications and products already prepared for distribution to a patient or facility.

Job Duties:

• Performs clerical duties consistent with the work area into which the employee is hired.


• Involvement in different areas of pharmacy-related shipping, receiving, and logistics.


• Prepares for delivery (pharmacist verified) medications for shipping to patients, representatives or healthcare workers.


• Maintains pharmacy by fulfilling daily operational needs.


• Follows and maintains all HIPPA guidelines and requirements with patient information.


• Maintains financial, reimbursement, and patient assistance paperwork, where applicable.


• Work is typically performed in a office environment.


• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
