Job summary

XPEL, Inc. in Oklahoma is seeking a Support Technician I to prepare vehicles for the application of protective products by thorough cleaning and decontamination, ensuring a ready-to-install surface.

You will work closely with application specialists in a safe, organized shop, perform duties such as washing, decontaminating, and assisting with setup, while maintaining equipment and assisting with film removal as needed.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean vehicles to remove dirt and contaminants in preparation for XPEL product application.
• Decontaminate vehicle surfaces using clay bars for an ultra-smooth finish for film installation.
• Keep the work area clean and organized and manage tools and waste disposal.
• Assist application specialists with setup and workflow to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Port vehicles to and from locations.
• Assist staff with weeding PPF and tint.
• Ensure installers have clean towels, install bottles and a clean installation bay.
• Follow safety and company standards; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: The Support Technician I is responsible for preparing vehicles for the application of XPEL protection products by performing thorough cleaning and decontamination. This role ensures that vehicles are ready for installation and contributes to the maintenance of a safe, organized shop environment. The Support Technician I works closely with application specialists to support efficient, high-quality installations and uphold the standards of XPEL.

Core Duties

• Conduct comprehensive washing and cleaning of vehicles to eliminate dirt, debris, and other contaminants in preparation for XPEL product application.
• Utilize clay bars and related methods for decontaminating vehicle surfaces, ensuring an ultra-smooth finish suitable for protective film installation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area, including proper management of tools and disposal of waste materials.
• Assist application specialists with setup procedures and operational tasks to facilitate efficient workflow and quality outcomes.
• Removal of automotive films (PPF, tint, vinyl)
• Port vehicles to and from locations.
• Assist staff with weeding PPF and tint.
• Keep installers supplied with clean towels, full install bottles and a clean installation bay.
• Other Duties as assigned.
