Job summary

Williamsburg, VirginiaHiring Range$16.80 - $21.83/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewWorks under the supervision of OR leadership in personal care of the patients during their surgical experience, to include, but not limited to positioning, assisting with advance surgical equipment function and use, assisting in the peri-anesthesia and peri-operative areas, and their environment (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified treatments. In addition, this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide the care needed as described according to the departmental policy and procedure. Promotes and maintains safe work environment for staff as well as our customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives. Understands and participates with surgical services staff, under the direction of the RN, in the care of patients during their surgical experience, to include, but not limited to positioning, assisting with advance surgical equipment function and use, assisting in the peri-anesthesia areas, providing support for Anesthesia service and supplies, and patient transport.What you will doSupports excellent customer service by actively working in a teamwork environment.
