Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a dedicated Support Technician for Surgical Services. The role involves cleaning and servicing rooms, restocking supplies, and assisting with patient care across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and a Basic Life Support certification. Prior healthcare-related experience is preferred to support a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; at least 1 year of work experience.
• Experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare-related position.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit and obtains supplies and rental units.
• Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.
• Performs tasks to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to Surgical Services staff.

Required

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience
• One (1) of experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare related position.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
