Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a dedicated Support Technician to assist Surgical Services teams in Atlanta and surrounding communities. Responsibilities include cleaning and servicing rooms, restocking supplies, and providing basic patient-care support to adolescents, adults and geriatrics under supervision.

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; post-secondary education or 1 year work experience.
• Experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare-related position.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned.
• Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit and obtains supplies and rental units.
• Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.
• Performs various tasks and duties to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to the staff in Surgical Services.
