Job summary

Primrose School of South Elgin seeks a passionate Support Teacher for a part-time role. You will foster creativity and curiosity in a fun learning environment, implementing effective lesson plans and maintaining a safe space for children’s development. Ideal candidates are college students in Early Childhood programs or those with teaching qualifications.

We look at adding the next wonderful support teacher to our faculty. This will be a float position in our classrooms in the afternoon. -Part time position. -The hours for this role are 3:00 to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

• No nights, No weekends, No Holidays. Teacher Qualified is preferred. College students in the Early Childhood program are encouraged to apply and indicate this on resume. -Covid vaccine required. -Minimum of high school diploma.

As a Support Teacher at Primrose School of South Elgin, you’ll help to create a fun, safe environment for little ones as they explore and learn through purposeful play that nurtures their social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development.

Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child.

Help children explore the world, improve their motor skills and grow their vocabulary.

Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning curriculum.

Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
