POSITION SUMMARYSet-up and break-down tables, chairs, audio-visual (AV) equipment and platform/stages and other equipment as specified by client or group requirements. Arrange table linens, skirting and table top items and clean, store and secure all tables, chairs and AV equipment, and platforms/stages for banquet functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Ensure the correct and timely set-up of all Banquet Event Order functions.Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, walls, walks, doors, windows, and heating/air conditioning units.Maintains the banquet storeroom in a neat and organized manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for meetings or food service functions.Breaks down after the completion of functions and ensures that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.Refreshes meeting rooms as needed.Notifies management of any hazards.Handles items for “Lost and Found.”Follows the dining step of service to provide the best experience to our members and guests.Greet members and guests warmly upon arrival and promptly offer water service.Assists servers in their set-up, service, and clean-up tasks.Cleans dining room areas.Stocks servers’ stations with supplies.Collects trash from dining areas and the pool, following the conclusion of the function. Dusts chairs before and after the function.Picks up empty beer kegs, gas tanks, and soiled linens, and ensures they are properly placed in the loading dock area for vendor pickup.Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.Folds napkins and breadbasket linens.Cleans up spills, broken service ware, and attends to similar problems during service with minimal disruption to diners.Assists Dining Room Manager, Bar Manager, Banquet Captain and other employees in assuring that the club’s policies and procedures for serving alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.Polishes silver service items.Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting).Assists with buffet setup and breakdown.Helps to maintain a fully stocked buffet.Able to manage the expo line, ensure food is run according to order tickets, and communicate effectively with the Chef, line cooks, and Front of House staff to maintain accuracy and timeliness.Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager, Lead Captain, or Bar Manager, including opening and closing duties.Personal hygiene, professional presentation, a well-groomed appearance, name tag, and wearing the proper uniform are essential parts of the job responsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)High School diploma or GED required.Previous club food serving experience preferred.Licenses and Special RequirementsFood safety certification.Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.Alcoholic beverage certification.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
