Job summary

Acquire4Hire is seeking a dedicated Support Person for our licensed childcare center in Washington. You will assist with daily activities for children aged 1 month through 12 years, with emphasis on safety, learning, and positive relationships. Shifts are Monday through Friday 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and patience. You will follow state regulations, participate in daily routines, and support families in a warm, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a Washington State background check.
• Have or obtain TB test by first day.
• Have or obtain STARS basic training.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.

• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Carry out program responsibilities.
• Assume an equal share of joint housekeeping responsibilities such as nightly shutting down the classroom, keeping classroom and children's supplies inventoried.

About This Role

We are a licensed childcare center providing care for 1 month thru 12 years. We are looking for a Support Person to join our team. Shifts are Monday thru Friday 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

This position is working with children of all ages from 1 month to 12 years providing fun, educational and developmentally appropriate activities in a safe and engaging environment. You must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment as well as be self-motivated and organized. Having patience and an ability to develop positive relationships with children and their families is a must.

Requirements

• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• Must have or get within 14 days Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must have or get within 14 days bloodborne pathogens
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks and be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
