Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Massachusetts is seeking a Support Specialist for the Brain Injury program, focusing on restorative skills and daily living support to adults with brain injuries within a caring team.

You will help rebuild communication, social, and self-help abilities, while maintaining safety and independence. Evening shifts include Fri–Sat 3pm–11pm and Sun–Thu 3pm–11pm at $20.50 USD per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Experience working with intellectually disabled or brain injured adults.
• Ability to drive residence van.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and maintain a personally owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with medical, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional needs in daily activities.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene to promote independence and growth.
• Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and report concerns.
• Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a safe environment.

Eliot is seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our Brain Injury program which provides high-quality, innovative programming to adults with brain injuries to enhance their lives, develop personal skills, and engage in community activities while building supportive relationships.

As a Support Specialist, you will offer an array of restorative skill building activities and support to rebuild communication proficiency, social & behavioral skills, self help abilities, and management of daily life activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with medical, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional needs in completing daily activities, including personal care, meal prep, cleaning, and leisure
• Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed, promoting independence and personal growth
• Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and report any significant health, behavioral, or psychiatric concerns
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks and report all maintenance or safety issues to ensure a clean and safe environment

Schedules

• Friday & Saturday, 3pm-11pm (16 hours)
• Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11pm (40 hours)

Hourly Rate: $20.50 USD - $20.50 USD
