Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our Brain Injury program. This role provides direct support to adults with brain injuries, supports daily living activities, personal care, meal prep, and social engagement, while building meaningful relationships within the community.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, administering medications per MAP regulations, maintaining safety, and supporting clients to rebuild

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma.
  • Experience working with intellectually disabled or brain injured adults.
  • Ability to drive residence van.
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and maintain a personally owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals with medical, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional needs in completing daily activities, including personal care, meal prep, cleaning, and leisure.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed, promoting independence and personal growth.
  • Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and report any significant health, behavioral, or psychiatric concerns.
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks and report all maintenance or safety issues to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Eliot is seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our Brain Injury program which provides high-quality, innovative programming to adults with brain injuries to enhance their lives, develop personal skills, and engage in community activities while building supportive relationships. As a Support Specialist, you will offer an array of restorative skill building activities and support to rebuild communication proficiency, social & behavioral skills, self‑help abilities, and management of daily life activities.

Responsibilities

Schedules
  • Friday & Saturday, 3pm-11pm (16 hours)
  • Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11pm (40 hours)

Hourly Rate
$20.50—$20.50 USD
