Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team at MNG in Atlanta, GA. In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at Labcorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory management operations including cycle counting, vendor engagement, and procurement activities utilizing inventory software to ensure optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships to support sourcing and procurement, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply chain operations & good book keeping skills.
  • Participate actively in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives, as well as internal and regulatory audits, contributing expertise to maintain compliance and operational standards.
  • Conduct daily facility checks, including temperature monitoring, site maintenance, and walk-through inspections to ensure sustainability and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime and maintain facility integrity.
  • Maintain accurate records related to facility operations and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the routing and handling of specimens to designated preparation areas, ensuring workflow efficiency and specimen integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvement by encouraging process enhancements and adoption of best practices across the team.
  • Perform regular quality assurance reviews to uphold accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in operational procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve production discrepancies, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Enforce and manage adherence to organizational policies and procedures, maintaining a consistent and compliant work environment.
  • Foster a positive team culture by maintaining high morale, promoting collaboration, and supporting professional development.
  • Take ownership of projects as assigned by management, ensuring timely and successful completion aligned with organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree or higher is preferred
  • 3 years of relevant experience; preferably in a clinical laboratory
  • Prior leadership experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferred
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
