A leading healthcare company is seeking a Support Representative II to join their team in Greensboro, NC. This role involves vital administrative support responsibilities, including patient registration, coordinating care, and maintaining records. The Support Representative II works closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to provide administrative duties in a health care facility. Working under some supervision, this job is responsible for obtaining registration and financial data for registration; registering patients; scheduling patients for initial evaluations and follow-up appointments; interpreting charge information and collecting payment from patients at the time of service; maintaining, copying, and retrieving medical records; and performing other general office duties as needed.
Additional responsibilities include scheduling outside services for patients, coordinating care with referrals, pre-authorizing testing through insurance carriers, determining co-pays and deductibles, recording patient information such as insurance eligibility, test results, medical history, and physician referrals, assembling and maintaining patient records, and assisting with credentialing processes. The role may also involve retrieving inbound faxes from insurance companies, test results, pharmacies, and physicians, as well as performing other duties as assigned.
Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Required: 1 year
Licensure/Certification/Registry: Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
