Job summary

Kokosing Construction is offering a Support Operations Co-op position designed to provide practical experience in maintenance, diagnostics, and fleet support for large-scale projects. You will work with mechanics, equipment managers, and engineers across shop, yard, and field environments.

You will gain hands-on exposure to maintenance planning, material tracking, and CAD drafting while mentored by experienced professionals and exposure to industry leaders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance, repair, and inspection activities for construction equipment and vehicles.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Learn equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair processes under guidance of seasoned mechanics.
• Assist with tracking equipment utilization, maintenance records, warranties, and service schedules.
• Support warehouse, inventory, and material management processes.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, organizing, and tracking parts, tools, and materials.
• Contribute to CAD drafting, equipment layouts, fabrication drawings, or shop documentation.
• Observe how equipment and materials are planned, mobilized, and deployed to active projects.
• Participate in safety meetings and learn safe work practices in shop and yard environments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with field operations to ensure projects have needed equipment and resources.
