Job summary

Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN seeks a Support Nurse for our Nurse Float Pool. This part-time role (0.80 FTE) features PM/evening and night rotations, with an 8-hour schedule and generally no weekends.

The successful candidate will provide high-level nursing care, support staff, and coordinate patient flow within a comprehensive care team. Minimum requirements include MN RN licensure, ACLS and BLS certifications, and 3+ years in step-down/intermediate care or ICU.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN license to practice as Registered Nurse.
• ACLS certification or ability to obtain before end of orientation.
• BLS certification with American Heart Association/Red Cross/Military Training Network.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to patients and support staff RNs with clinical skills.
• Collaborate with care team to facilitate patient flow, admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Educate patients, families and staff and evaluate outcomes.
• Plan, delegate to and organize nursing personnel.
