Job summary

Crown Battery in Fremont, Ohio, is seeking a Support Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to perform preventative and basic maintenance on production and facility equipment and to support stable operation.

You will follow plant safety guidelines, use appropriate PPE, report non-conformities, and assist in corrective/preventive actions and improvements; weekend work and irregular hours may be required.

Support Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Salary Range: $30.00 To $32.00 Hourly

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

• Establish a support maintenance program.
• Provide appropriate, timely maintenance and preventative maintenance to the environmental control equipment, HVAC equipment, and production support equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Is responsible for:
  • Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Identifying and reporting product, process, and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
  • Controlling nonconforming products
  • Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
• Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
• Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required.
• Performs preventative and basic maintenance, adjustments, set-ups and repairs on all production and facility equipment, with minimal supervision, utilizing accepted procedures and tools to insure minimal downtime and maximum operating efficiency.
• May work irregular hours and weekends as production and maintenance needs dictate.
• Subject to fumes, dust, noise, dirt, and some temperature extremes.
