Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking a Support Driver to deliver new and used trucks to customers and transfer units between Nextran locations. You will coordinate with Sales and Service, maintain driving records, and keep yards organized with attention to safety and schedules.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid CDL Class B license; no prior experience required. You will join a network with strong growth and solid employee benefits culture.

Responsibilities

• Delivers new trucks to customers and transfers units between Nextran locations.
• Chases other CDL drivers to and from locations; miles expensed.
• Maintain driving records with receipts and truck performance forms.
• Keep truck yard organized; ensure batteries off and doors locked.
• Assist Sales by taking trucks to be weighed.
• Assist Service with additional duties as needed.
• Fuel Rental & Leasing units; fill DEF as assigned.
• Deliver Rental & Leasing units to customers.
• Transfer and/or pick up trucks from other Nextran locations.
• Maintain daily run calendar with VIN/chassis or unit numbers.
• Perform drop-offs and pick-ups; follow time-sensitive schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Support Driver delivers new trucks to our customers and also delivers customer trucks to and from Nextran Locations for Maintenance.

• Delivers new or used trucks to our customers.
• Chases other CDL Drivers to and from locations. (Miles are expensed)
• Maintains driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
• Maintain the truck yard by ensuring that it stays organized, ensuring that battery switches are off, and doors are locked.
• Assist Sales Department by taking trucks to get weighed.
• Assist Service Department with additional duties as needed.
• Fuel Rental & Leasing units
• Fill DEF on Rental & Leasing units as assigned
• Deliver Rental & Leasing units to customers as assigned.
• Transfer and/or pick up of new or used trucks from other Nextran locations.
• Keeping calendar up to date of daily runs with updated VIN/Chassis or Unit # provided to you.
• Performing drop offs and pick up’s of units in a timely matter. Daily list of run’s have been planned accordingly and are time sensitive.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or GED.
• Drivers must have a valid driver's CDL (Minimum Class B) license, no experience required.
