Job summary

Merakey in NorthEast Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals achieve daily living goals, including personal care, hygiene, and independent living skills. You’ll work across settings, following individualized plans, encouraging progress and building meaningful routines.

Schedule includes evening shifts (e.g., 3pm-11pm) in Week 1 and Week 2, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including hygiene and personal care.
• Support social and communication skills through guided activities and routines.
• Follow Individual Support Plans to foster independence and meaningful activities.
• Engage individuals in settings like parks and sensory gardens to build skills.

Position Details

Our idealDirect Support Professionalcandidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer's lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

Schedule:Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3pm-11pm Week 2: Monday-Thursday, Saturday 3pm-11pm
