Job summary

Merakey in Blue Bell, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our compassionate team and support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.

You will follow the Individual Support Plan, help clients with daily hygiene, housekeeping, and communication, and encourage independence. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm, with pay up to $18/hour and an additional $2/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer’s lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals.
• Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals, following the Individual Support Plan to promote independence in daily living activities.
• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care, and foster independence in housekeeping and laundry.

Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm

Earn up to $18/hour with the selection of the Enhanced Pay option, and additional $2/hour shift differential
