County of Lancaster is seeking an entry-level Social Service Caseworker Trainee within the Behavioral Health/Developmental Services Agency. The position starts in a Support Coordination Unit and leads to promotion after a six-month probation.

It involves learning the three functions of support coordination: locating, coordinating, and monitoring, to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree including or supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 credits in related socials sciences.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in BHDS training programs to learn the framework of support coordination.
• Begin to manage a caseload of up to 35 clients with contact plan completion and monitoring.
• Make referrals to community agencies and resources to meet client needs.
• Attend client meetings and document activities and outcomes.
